I really like Prayers for Bobby. I pretty much bawled like a baby when I first saw it and was thinking I could show it to my mum as a 'tool' for when I needed help in coming out.

What's interesting is that most (if not all) lgbt movies that I watched tend to end really tragic or sad.

Some of my favourites are The Incredibly True Adventures of Two Girls in Love, Foxfire, and Fingersmith. You can find a lot of movies (especially the older ones) around the internet or even on Youtube.

My fav movies so far are The men next door and Bear city.
The men next door is about a forty year old guy falling in love with two very differant men then finding out they are in fact father and son.
Bear city is about a chaser twink who's interested in Bear community and a certain member in particular but said member is only into bears.
Both movies are funny and awesome yet still serious so not stupid comedies oh and they have happy endings so no need to skip em!

Ma Vie En Rose (My Life in Pink) is a really beautiful French film about a young boy who would rather be a girl.

    Obligatory Frozen mention.

And La Mision. About a old school gangster Latino father trying to reconcile his son being gay. I saw it on netflix.

I love a lot of these except for maybe Loving Annabelle. Student-Teacher relationships always make me cringe...

Funny how no one has said brokeback mountain lol. I wonder why...

Another Gay Movie (though steer clear of Another Gay Sequal, it's terrible)
Bring it on (only has 1 gay character, but it's still kind of iconic *spirit fingers*)
Just watched Kill Your Darlings last night, it was unexpectedly gay (hope that doesn't spoil it for you).
Saved - again only has 1 gay character, but a good movie
Summer Storm (German with subtitles, apparently quite controversial in it's home country)
    Mysterious Skin
    Hedwig and the Angry Inch
I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry
Billy Elliot - only 1 gay character but a good movie
    Bruno
    Milk

    A few that have been said already;
    Beautiful Thing
    Shelter
    Get Real
    Latter Days
    But I'm a Cheerleader
Eating Out 1,2,3 (terrible acting but funny!)

Funny thing, my favorite character from series is Tiffany. :icon_bigg

Missing from my list; Strapped and Boy Culture.

    They were interesting movies.

    I know right!
Me too  Even in the first one.
Their acting improves from one movie to the next.
