I really like reading fantasy books, like things by Terry Brooks and Trudi Canavan. Just recently bought The Written by Ben Galley - loving it so far. Just wondering if there are any fantasy books with gay characters?
Harry Potter - Albus Dumbledore is gay. Just had to throw it out there, haha - I don't know of any less main-stream fantasy books with gay characters.
"The Rain Wild Chronicles" by Robin Hobb have a gay couple. Not sure about a lesbian, but one gay couple is better than none! I really like the books aswell. Good fantasy, about dragon, which contain class-issues, love over boundries, intrigues and fighting. Also, there are lizard/nature people. It's Awesome!

I started a book called the huntress (has a brunette on the cover holding a sword and it's purple). It's a lesbian novel and she lives in a school sort of thing and there's fairies. That's all I know so far but it seems good.
The Last Herald Mage trilogy by Mercedes Lackey: Magic's Pawn, Magic's Promise, Magic's Price. The lead characters are basically a gay male couple.
I was about the suggest Mercedes Lackey! She has quite a few gay characters in her books. Her Valdemar books are awesome.
