    So, what are your thoughts on One Direction?

    I recently went to a 1D concert this Sunday as a treat for my other half and to be honest I was pretty skeptical as to whether it would be good or not. I'm not a fan, or at least I wasn't until after the concert. Now I'm finding myself singing their songs constantly. The concert was actually really good. We were subjected to a few cheeky grins whilst we were singing and dancing along though! I think it's turned me into a bit of a "directioner". I'm pretty worried Haha.

    They represent everything I despise about the music industry and their music is, in my opinion, atrocious.

    On the positive side, Styles is sooo cute.

    Haha, do you know what. I totally agree with you. They have no musical ability whatsoever, they're just highly manufactured. But to be fair to them, they did put on a good show!

    I don't really object to their music. Yep, it's far from technically brilliant (I know nothing about music and I can still say that with confidence), and the lyrics aren't exactly deep. Their music isn't good on any metric really, it's just highly manufactured. But people enjoy it, I'm not going to stop them. Besides, it's not like I'm forced to listen to them. If they're on the radio, I have dozens of other stations and the internet to find something I do like.

    The thing I really do dislike about 1D though, and Bieber plus all the other big mainstream artists, is the militant fanbase. You know, those people who will spend 2 hours trolling someone on twitter because they said 1D wasn't to their tastes. And by the same token I don't really like the people who belittle people who do like 1D because *insert insult here* (I'll admit I've done that once or twice in the past though, so I won't berate them too strongly).

    So yeah. Basically my attitude to them is "meh" and my attitude to people who like it is "go ahead as long as you're not being crappy about it".

    in all honesty i've had the unfortunate time of seeing them, since i was working back stage, i didn't know they were the superstars until they got on stage....MAN THEY'RE SHORT !

    I'm not a fan but I do like some of their music. It's catchy... And they're cute and seem nice enough, so I can see why people like them.

    I like a few of their songs, I'm not huge fangirl, but I do like some of their music and call myself a Directioner. My favorite member is Harry and I did buy their latest album! I haven't listen to it closely yet, but from what I heard, it seems really well done! Not the best, but good! Their older album was probably better.
