Yup, I started a 2-year-long graphics design course yesterday. It looks good so far. However, there is a problem. I'm required to have certain versions of the software we're going to use (namely CorelDRAW 12 and Adobe Creative Suite CS)... and I happen to be running CorelDRAW X3 and Adobe CS3 which I can't use for this  So I had to set up a virtual machine and install the older versions which were horribly hard to get, particularly the Corel stuff because everyone seems to have upgraded from 11 to X3 as there are like three differences between 11 and 12. I've been fiddling with InDesign CS and it's quite a big change from CS3 which is what I'm used to (I used PageMaker, then QuarkXPress, then Scribus and only recently switched to InDesign)... I hope I'm not tied to older versions from now on... At least the Corel stuff is pretty much the same since 1995 or so.
I have CorelDraw11,it uses it's purpose. My mom studied design, but like 20 years ago...so I have to help her on computer sometimes:lol:Corel is a cool program,I also learned how to use Adobe, but I forgot 'cause I didn't used it...:icon_sad: Good luck!
We can be graphic design buddies! It's odd that they're making you use older versions on the software tho :S
That has a reason to be. This is Uruguay, computers are very expensive, so at the academy computers are Pentium III-based, therefore not capable of running CS3 which barely runs on mine.
