Is it a good book? I got it on my nook today because my best friend recommended it to me. What's it about?

it's amazing and you should definitely read it

it's a completely ridiculous sort of humor, but I think it's clever and well-done, rather than being dumb

It's hilarious, though I imagine the quirkiness of it doesn't work for everyone.

Only way to find out is the try it.

What's it about? I don't think it works like that...

I've read it and all I know is that I love it.

It's the kind of hilarious that's impossible to describe without it sounding the wrong kind of ridiculous. If that makes sense.

It's absolutely one of the best books ever written. Really all you need to know.

Agreed. And, don't worry about discrepencies between the books in the (4 books and a short story) trilogy. Douglas Adams attempted to incorporate newly discovered theories as the series went on, contributing to some of that. Also, you will discover that time travel is possible, and inhabitants of the plural zones (such as where we are in Galactic Sector ZZ9 Plural ZA) should avoid travel via infinite improbability drive, as for them, there is a finite probablility that they will not return to the same universe.

I've been listening to the audiobooks and I'm on the second one right now. They're great.
