I think I want to get something pierced. Maybe for my 16th birthday. It's a big decision for me even though it wouldn't be permanent; idk why though. Idk if my mom would go for it though, she already isn't all that fond of my hair (baby dreads) a piercing might be pushing the envelop but I'll at least try her. I'm thinking ear. I'm open to suggestions though.
If you were thinking of getting a piercing I think getting an ear pierced would be the best first choice. It's usually accepted a lot more than other piercings and looks pretty good too.

After extensive research on the Internet about which is the "gay ear" there is NO definite answer. It used to vary from city to city or country to country. Today it makes no difference.
I agree with Gerry in that an ear piercing is one of the most widely accepted piercings. I think both ears would look great on you. To me, one ear pierced throws off the symmetry.
Well, today actually, I think almost everywhere around the world it is recognized on your right ear as being gay. If you wear it on your left, you are not gay. I have my left ear pierced because I'm not totally out and I got it a few years ago. I think like 10-15 years ago people weren't really sure which ear meant gay, because not many guys had ears pierced as often as now, so people just did whatever sorta. But now it is definately recognized as right ear = gay. I flew to germany last spring for vacation, and people were telling me that its the right ear that means gay also, and in california, it is KNOWN that the right ear means you're gay. Two years ago for summer vacation I was going to go to boston and I heard that it switched in boston, and that the right ear meant you were straight, so I wasn't sure if I should wear my earring on the left or not, but I did anyways, but that ended up to be not true. Right = gay also in boston. But if you're thinking about getting a piercing, definately go with an ear first. I wouldn't go with an eye brow piercing or lip piercings or any of that stuff because first of all, its your first piercing and second of all your sort of young, and mainly like older people seem to get their eyebrows pierced. not like older people but i mean like people that are 17, even though your not far off from that. idk lol im confusing haha, but id just get my left ear pierced if i were u or u could get both ears. :icon_wink
*scrunchs face* eyebrow rings . i generally do not like those i say go with oh i dont know ear? dont get it done with a gun! go get it done with a needle it may not be "Free" but its safer, less painful and heals better wash with anti bacterial soap and do a sea salt soak daily mkay? lol
