He just seems to use gays for cheap laughs, like A LOT.

    For example:

    Maybe, I'm just being sensitive.

    seems cheap.

when comedy like that knows it's ignorant and finds a way to point out how ridiculous a stereotype can get it's funny though. kinda like how the chappelle show was on race issues

How much do you want to bet those guys who were running aren't gay.

comedians frequently use the gay stereotype for laughs.
the other day I was watching "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" and literally 75% of the skits that were really funny was because the guys were playing women or being gay.

the funniest I ever saw was with Richard Simmons, and the reason it was funny was because he was being super gay (as usual!) and that was it.

I don't think he's homophobic, I just think he's a very very poor writer. He did a very crude sketch about 9/11 the other week as well. This stuff wouldn't come across as offensive if it was, y'know, actually funny, but when it's just "Hahahaha! Gays! Heeheehee!" or "Hahahaha! 9/11! Heeheehee!" it makes him look like a bit of a twat.

    28 Gays Later.

I didn't laugh at the skit, but as soon as that came up I think I nearly died laughing.

No, every comedian uses minorities as a tool for jokes. All of them, at some point, have done a gay joke, or a black joke, or a woman joke, or a hispanic joke, or something in that field. It doesn't make them homophobic, it makes them weakly grabbing for something else to fill up their time slot.
