Futurama anyone?

Discussion in 'Entertainment and Technology' started by lannister_dragon, Jul 30, 2014.

  1. Hey EC! Do any of you watch Futurama? I recently restarted watching it from S1 and made me fall in love with it all over again. It's much funnier and more entertaining than Family Guy and The Simpsons IMO.

I'm a fan of Futurama, Family Guy, American Dad, and South Park. I think the thing that makes it stand out from the rest is the fact that most of its jokes are subtle and usually rooted in some form of science. It just feels good when they make a joke related to Quantum Physics, and you are all like "LOL I GOT THE JOKE GUYS". Seriously though, it's a good one

I love Futurama! Such a great show. One of the things that I liked about it so much was that it wasn't just cheap funny entertainment, it was also actually really intelligent and had a great story and characters. Also, some of the episodes are really touching, like the one with Fry's dog :frowning2:

I watched all of the original run, but I'm currently trying to get caught up with the more recent seasons thru NetFlix. I've seen some people knock the newer episodes, but from what I've seen so far I think they're still pretty stellar. The Late Philip J. Fry is among one of my all-time favorites, for example.

I looove Futurama, I even have all the DVDS real size Bender Head. It’s plastic though. Zoidberg is my favorite character.

The newest season(the episodes that aired last year) wasn't the greatest, but the other newer seasons were pretty good.

  9. and least it was ended while it still had some dignity left unlike the Simpsons... lol

Haha yeah, I don’t know how they keep coming up with new ideas for the Simpsons, I guess they kinda don’t though.

  11. I'm hoping they release the entire seasons in a bluray boxset. Now that'd be cool!

That’ll be awesome, but expensive, it would be at least $200

Are we really describing that episode as touching?! I prefer to call it 'the most unnecessary, soul destroying ending to a cartoon ever made'.

I have tried to describe the ending to Jurassic Bark to people who havent seen it and no one seems to understand how a cartoon can make me well up so much.
