Has anyone seen the movie Blue Is the Warmest Colour?

I was just wondering what people thought about it. Pornographic or honest? Realistic or exploiting lesbians?

It was a good movie, and sex is a very big part of many people's lives, other movies are just scared to show real things like sex, cheating, jealousy regret(realistically not over dramatised) . I'm not a Lesbian but I didnt think it exploited Lesbians in any way.. What did you think of it?

Definitely interesting. I felt like it portrayed people in a fairly realistic way--I never caught the entire thing, but was reading reviews and whatnot. I like how they look like real people. The main characters are beautiful, but they don't seem unrealistically beautiful, like many films featuring young people.

I've seen it and I liked it, for the most part. I liked how it was sort of subtle and understated, and sort of a slice of life story more than anything else... a glimpse into the lives of two women and their relationship. Kind of poignant, too. I think it's one of the better movies depicting lesbian relationships I've seen, up there with High Art and But I'm a Cheerleader. I have to say, I was not that big a fan of The Kids Are All Right even though it got a lot of praise.

I saw it in the theater, intrigued by the fact that it was banned from an actual state. I thought it was incredible. Very real-to-life depictions of people, not romanticizing anything or building up some kind of ridiculously moral and impeachably likable character. It certainly has its pornographic moments, but even those are done tenderly, and aren't like some kind of fetishized concept of hot-streamless-unawkward love.

I've always wanted to see it, but I was underage when it came out (I was 16, and it was rated NC-17).

I think it might be on YouTube. I know sometimes you can find entire movies on there.

I watched it a while ago, and I think it was honest and realistic, not fetishized.
