Thirty Seconds to Mars is one of the BEST bands to listen to. They're all about dreams, and having hope, peace, being you. Their genre is rock. THEY'RE F*CKING AWESOME! I suggest you listen to "The Kill (Bury Me)", and the entire "This is War" album and the entire "Love + Lust + Faith + Dreams" album.
