Where the heck is the thread for this movie?!?

I've seen it twice already and wouldn't mind seeing it again. It is such a good movie. It is full of great characters, humor, and some actually emotional parts.

My favorite character was easily Rocket Raccoon. At first I thought he would be the simple comedic sidekick, but no. He had character, emotional parts, and was such a great part of the movie. Made me laugh and also made me sad at points too.

If you haven't see it yet, go see it. I don't like super hero movies, but this I don't really classify as one. It's so good.

Ohh thanks for making a thread!!!!!

This was such an EXCELLENT film..one of the best I've seen in recent times. It had the right dose of comedy, emotion, action & story  . I've been missing sci fi films like this!!!! (star treks were too serious!)

I loved Rocket Raccoon haha...he was definitely the best character!!!!!! Especially his banter with everyone else and the tree thing (TWORK was it called?).

Forget about The Avengers....I'll be fine getting a sequel to this!!! haha

Easily this summer's best film. I can't believe Teenage Stupid Ninja Turtles beat it in the box office, though. :icon_sad:

I still need to see it, but I'm glad that there branching out to the less we'll known marvel characters, not to mention they will likely be in an avengers movie.

I saw it last Friday and it was AMAZING! I would go see it again but my local movie theater is $13 dollars a ticket even for student prices!

I loved Rocket! He is a combination between me and my friend everyone thinks he is exactly like my friend just becasue he is a smart-arse and short. I wish there was more between Gamora and Nebula.

Only for the weekend and it was TMNT's first weekend and Guardians's second so that makes a difference. I'm expecting (and really hoping) Guardians will beat TMNT overall.

    Groot. He is Groot.

I got to see it last week and it was amazing. Rocket Raccoon is probably my favorite too, although I do really love Groot. Fantastic characters, great humor, gah I want to see it again right now. My girlfriend's already seen it five times and she says it gets better every time.

    Average for a superhero movie.

I prefer superhero movies like Thor or Batman.

It was in many ways the best action superhero movie I've seen. Not perfect but it rivaled Avengers for enjoyment.

    Ronan was so bad ass!

I'm disappointed The Collector didn't use his powers though

I thought it was alright, just something missing for it to be awesome. Probably too much hype beforehand.

I had no idea what was going on when I saw this movie but it was funny and I enjoyed it.

That little baby Groot was so adorable I almost died.

I guess we are going to see it this Monday. I figure it should be fun--it's not really my cup of tea but my husband loves all this superhero stuff so we go. He always says he feels bad because we watch "his" movies in the theater and "my" movies at home. In the end, though, I tend to think that blowing things up really benefits from the big screen treatment--watching Maggie Smith and Judi Dench make witty banter in a drawing room somewhere is just fine on the small screen.
