I know, I know. Mangotree usually starts this kind of threads but here we go.

We older generation have seen rise and fall of many stars/songs in our days whom nearly forgotten so younger generation can't hear them. You know those groups/singers no more active but were on top of the charts when they were. We spent whole summer/year listening those tracks on radio, tv or on our walkman .

I still love Cardigans and for me they had so many good songs. However this one was the top (other than Lovefool which is good but this one have better vid). Late 90s.

Or this one. I never heard the group again. This song made famous by Levi's ads and very popular around 95-96... While I am terrible with dates I know it because I had my first boyfriend at those years and I totally missed how hot that guy in wet underwear in this video... Damn you my monogamous genes.

And this one. From my early years. R.I.P Laura you were a nice memory of my childhood. Song's from mid 80s.

I didn't know I had a reputation for starting music/youtube related threads

Not sure what kinds of songs you're looking for...
Ones that bring back great memories of summer and holidays(vacations)?
great songs that are by one or two hit wonders?
songs that epitomise our childhood/teen years?
or just awesome songs that we don't think the younger generation would have heard?

I think all of the above?

Mostly songs were so popular but couldn't make their names to today. Do you remember Tiffany, 2 Unlimited, Ace of Base, Roxette, C & C Music Factory? They were hot but today there is no sign of them or music they did.

I think I am more looking for nostalgia while providing younger generation something different to listen.

Okay music time...

PS: You have that reputation for me, you start good music threads which I enjoy too much.:icon_bigg

Wow... nice list. I didn't hear most of those in years.

I liked all of them except Informer. Somehow that song reminded me the following one so I avoided it like a plague... (I know I am weird)

Hmm what else we had back then....

This song always gave me thrills... something about the way Phil sings it I guess... it sounds dark and dangerous

While I wasn't a big fan of Sting I miss his now and then hits. His voice and talent sorely missed. I love this video.

This song never got the attention I think it deserved: Sooner or Later by The English Beat (as they are known in North America, so that they wouldn't be confused with the American band, The Beat):

Their more famous hit is also still fantastic: Mirror in the Bathroom
