I was in Waterstones earlier and considered picking up both the Death Note (which had been recommended to me by a good friend), Bleach and One Piece manga but ended up getting Naruto 1-3 and Scott Pilgrim's Finest Hour.
Do you think Attack on Titan is ridiculously sad like me? I'm very interested in knowing whether it is to others or I'm just very emotional

There are so many to choose from! I don't read manga as much as I used to but I've been reading a lot of X Men and Avengers. If anyone is looking for a cute gay couple in comics read Young Avengers. Billy Kaplan and Teddy Altman are great together. Also, I can't believe I forgot, Kevin Keller from the Archie series is also cute. He has his own comics and they're nice to read. They're made in a PG type format but I found them very heart warming.

I tend to prefer anime with seinen/horror/psychological themes.

Mine are: Kara no Kyoukai, Fate/Zero, Attack on Titan, Elfen Lied, Death Note, Welcome to NHK, Another, and of course Mirai Nikki (because of how awesome Gasai Yuno is... Yanderes are hawt!).

In terms of manga, I'm currently reading Liar Game and Hourou Musuko (a pretty good read with some deep LGBT themes about a prepubescent boy discovering his love of crossdressing, who at the same time falls in love with a girl who wants to be a boy). And also because I can't wait for the second season of Attack on Titan, I've been reading the manga as well.

Have you tried watching Danganronpa. It's a very strange anime with a lot of horror aspects and I think it could be considered to have some psychological themes. It also had an element of detective stuff in, so If you like all that you'll probably enjoy it.

If what I found when searching it was right then they probably do count.

    Lol yeah!

I love the deaths at the conclusion of each "class trial". Also, a psychotic but cutesy teddy bear is always awesome

Yeah, I think my fav part was the investigations which is really the only reason I watched it, as that evil teddy bear (which I would say was more psychopathic than psychotic ) was close to giving me nightmares. The story was also pretty decent and watching them explore the new parts of the school is good. It's just really hard to describe properly when trying to reccomend it to friends!

Yeah. I hear ya. I have a hard time explaining what a yandere is to people when recommending Mirai Nikki to them. "Super-ultra-jealous murderous girl/boyfriend" just doesn't really cut it for me LOL

I've been watching Hunter X Hunter a lot recently. I would definitely recommend to anyone but the beginning of the Chimera Ants arc was ridiculously creepy.
