Lol, I'm not a fan of her at all but it's pretty amusing when Tumblr jokes about Ariana being the next Mariah. This one is my favourite: and don't forget this:

I like her!! I have all of her songs (except for the Christmas/Nick stuff), except for all of My Everything, which I will be getting soon! I love Break Your Heart Right Back, which is about her ex breaking up with her because he's into guys haha.
I like her...and got her new album...she's definitely one of the better new pop girls and I'm excited for her career ahead....I really like 'Love Me Harder', 'One Last Time', 'Bang Bang' & 'Why Try' off the album (wanted to like My Everything a lot as it's totally my type of ballady song but the melody sucked)...I thought the rest of it was mediocre though. My biggest problem with her is her enunciation on her higher notes & in general she has a very shrieky tone I don't like..it gives me a headache after a while lol. And her & Mariah comparison are absolutely hilarious, clearly people haven't listened to the 90's mariah carefully.. I mean their tones are completely different...this 1st album vocal battle says it all really. Mariahs charm wasn't just her perfect high notes but also her strong & perfect low notes which led to her massive range. Ariana has non-existent to weak low notes (although in time she could train to develop her lower register..but it's not naturally there) & lacks the depth mariahs voice had. Ariana does have an amazing high register like mariahs though which is where I guess the comparison comes from and there is plenty of room for her to improve especially as her voice matures more...she is already better than 90% of todays singers anyway. I think 'Be My BaBy' is the next single....it sounds like it'll be catchy so she'll probably find success there. Apparently the album is opening to a disappointing number in America though, like around 150K.
It took a while but Break Free really grew on me! I'm also hooked on Hands on Me and Break Your Heart Right Back
I like her music to an extent but she puts on the "good girl" persona on her music videos way too much. It's getting ridiculous and overdone. Not a hater or anything. I don't know what to really make out of her personality either as I've read she told her fans to die. Yikes.
