What house would you consider yourself to be in? Did you take the Pottermore/other quiz or figure it out yourself? I would say Slytherin for me

The Pottermore quiz said I was a Slytherin and I think that's accurate. I could also fit into Hufflepuff pretty well but Slytherin seems slightly more accurate

I love Harry Potter  I have all the Harry Potters in book form and DVD boxset!
My favourite character has to be Hermione as she is the funniest and goes through a bigger journey than the other characters seem to. I also like her because you know she could kick any other students ass, in a duel, if she wanted to :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I'd much rather be in Hufflepuff than any other house as they seem to be the nicest and I like nice people. Pottermore placed me in Hufflepuff

Potterheads unite! I'm a Slytherin, which surprised me but no one else. I thought I'd be a Ravenclaw for sure. Oddly, most of my friends are Hufflepuffs... *shrugs*

I'm a Gryffindor on Pottermore - something of a surprise actually. If it was real I think I'd probably be a Ravenclaw.

Ravenclaw at heart, but I haven't taken the Pottermore quiz. Honestly I can't be bothered by that site. Maybe I'm too old for it now XD but I'd rather discuss the series with people on here. I've also written a bit of fanfic, but none of it finished. I'm tempted to start one with a Harry/Draco focus, especially considering how their attitudes toward each other evolved in the sixth and seventh books.

I'm not really a fan of the series. But, I know a little about the series.

That said, I'm Slytherin. I noticed a lot of people, who get Slytherin, claim they are, but they don't exhibit the traits. I don't really care, but, it's something I see people discuss/debate, on various Harry Potter-related sites. Of course, I'm not an authority on this, which is strange for me to admit, about something, LOL!

I have a long-standing deal with my best friend that I will match his Potter books one for one if he will read books of my recommendation.

So far I have only read the first. Least he finally read FOUNDATION. :rolle:
edit: I think it's fantastic that they use a hat to identify and group together into one roof all the children that are evil.

Well obviously JKR should not be looked up to as an expert on child development or philosophy, but Slytherins aren't necessarily evil. They are more of the Steve Jobs personality, meaning they get shit done whether or not they are popular for doing it. Personally I think people can be productive without having accompanying dickishness, but she had to differentiate the houses based on something interesting.

Totally. I just personally define ends before means philosophies as inherently capable of 'evil', per se.

Yes, but I've only seen the first four movies and read six of the books

Me too, but if all the kids in Slyth were evil, personally I would have just raised them as Muggles lol.

I was one of the beta testers for Pottermore, and since that was a few years ago, I've changed. My account says Hufflepuff but every time I take the test now, I'm Ravenclaw.
