that's unusual that an australian site would host that - but hey - power to him!

EDIT : I love the commenters - they're all mocking the crap out of the guy who made that comment about "shows supporting fags!"

Still doesn't change the fact that I don't like him...

Now all we need is David Archuleta to follow by example...

There's not much to read in them. Every comment is either "Oh wow, I'm so surprised!", "FLAMINGHOMOASSQUEERFAGGOT", or "To the bigot above me, f*ck you".

If you guys are feeling particularly vulnerable, I would not read comments on these news stories. They can only bring you down. You have to realize that these people are sitting at their computers and do not have to look anybody in the face to mouth off their hate and ignorant remarks. Yes, you will find some good comments too but you will also read some really bad ones!

I've actually been commenting back to these haters - using the bible and logic to disprove their theories about it being a sin. Come join me becky! It's fun! And I haven't lost my temper I swear!

Even my mom was like "I could have told you that!"
Also, I read somewhere he is a born-again Christian. That shocked me more than the coming out. It will be interesting to see how he deals with his faith and orientation.

My straight friend Tim thinks speculating about someone's sexual orientation is wrong. However, my son picked Clay out as Gay during his stint on AI also. I think even if you didn't say it aloud, you'd be thinking it. What's the difference?

I may not like his singing, but this is cool. I'm happy for him.

I thought he was gay, but it wasn't something that I was really concerned about, I'd figured if he was gay he would come out. If he wasn't then he wouldn't come out.

And I thought it would never happen.
I'm really glad he's finally out.
