Not pop artists, like actual hip-hop artists that aren't signed to a multinational label?

So mainstream artists signed to a label are not considered hip hop?

If you want underground you mean then look up The Problemaddicts

I've always considered Outkast to be hip hop and not just the pop crap that is played nowadays.
If not, a less big name that I like is Oncue. I also like Watsky.

Mainstream hip hop is still hip hop--you mean underground hip hop. And yes, I like some underground hip hop, like Nujabes and Das Racist.

You mean before Young Money came?

I like Hip-Hop. I just can't stand the 'me me me' lyrics every song, or the auto-tune nonsense, that seems to be taking over. But you find this, mostly, in the major label artists.

What you're asking for, though, I'd say:

Del Tha Funkee Homosapien & the Hieroglyphics.

I meant multinational label as said above. Once you get into higher sales numbers and are representing a company like Sony your music suffers.

I don't Liike underground or using that word. It has an arrogant connotation at least for me. Most artists I listen to are signed to labels just aren't creating music for the masses like others.

Pop music is a very large group if you go by the definition$

I was more asking if anyone actually enjoys it like the genre. I know of every popular artist and I just don't like most of them so I really didny want people to be discussing Eminem, asap rocky and macklemore, Kanye west on here, it just isn't the same feel as other artists to me.

Again I meant signed to a large company that strictly wants to profit off the artists and isn't in it for anything other than making money. It's cliche but big business does get in the way of artistic integrity.

OUTKAST IS HIP HOP. Again there are exceptions. Their albums did become crappier and crappier as they got bigger ATLIENS is a really good Album.

Hah already know of them.

Make Your Move is one of my Favourite songs by them

Nujabes is a musical producer, it's one guy, he combined with hip hop artists, but I don't consider him hip hop, he's trip hop/ambient. He's only instrumentals, doesn't rap.

released this year too

Also this song, which could actually be a very popular song, the female singer isn't good looking enough, and the rapper is a scrawny hispanic dude, again not marketable. This is proof positive that Pop music including Pop hip hop is a joke. This song has Pop song written all over it, but they're just not marketable to the masses. The girl's voice is amazing, and the rappers voice is amazing, still doesn't matter.
