Yes! Airsoft is the shiz. I haven't gotten to play in forever, but I'm set equipment-wise. Because if you ask anyone who's really into it, it is absolutely a tactical fashion show. I have a pretty generic "assault" loadout loosely based on USAF regulations, but have made steadily increasing concessions for functionality. Right now I've got a JG M16A2 with a 6.03mm tightbore, a no-name (but full metal ) gas blowback M9 pistol, and 6 120rd. mags in a molle plate carrier. Hopefully I can get out to romp around again soon.
Yeah, I'm gunning for a Russian Special Forces or regular Russian Army loadout. I currently have a CYMA AK-47 with some rail covers and a flashlight/laser on the front of it. I'm using a Lancer Tactical Crossdraw vest with plexiglass plates. This X-mas, I'm getting the rest of the usual stuff: BDUs, boots, patches, helmet, etc.
I used to play it alot but my guns broke and I don't want to shell out the money to get back into it, besides I rarely get invited to play it nowadays. still a fun sport though
Right now I'm in full 'Murica mode, but I do love the look of some Soviet weapons, namely the RPK and the SVD. If I could have either of those (especially a gas SVD with real wood stock) I would be in heaven.
I'm not sure about the SVD, but I know that they sell aftermarket wooden kits for the RPK and PKP machine gun.
I myself don't play airsoft but I do enjoy NIC nerifing witch is very similar to airsoft only a little bit safer (even thowe some of the more powerful homemades when shot in close range will go threw flesh) becase it is played with modded nerf guns (that are often modded to shoot homemade darts like slugs (painful) and hot glue domes (VERY painful
