Just finished watching the movie Test on Netflix. Thought it was a great movie reflecting the life of two aspiring dancers living in San Francisco during the mid 1980's. For a movie where the backdrop was about the early days of the AIDS virus, it was actually an uplifting movie with a rather aspiring ending. The director did a great job of keeping the virus in the background while reflecting the need for the LGBT community to evolve in ways to mitigate individual risk from contracting the virus. The movie deals with everything from condoms to monogamy. What a pleasant surprise, where most other movies dealing with the same topic leave the viewer feeling the tragedy, this movie shows how a community can evolve and adjust. Well done film!
