I love reading! Basically you guys can call me a bookworm! However, all of the books that I had read have heterosexual pairings in them and I was just wondering are there any lesbian books out there???

This is the perfect time for me to ask someone who IS a bigger bookworm then me to read something for me I came across randomly in a store. Okay i'll admit it.. I don't like the look of huge books but when I start reading I don't stop.

I was at a store and decided to go look for a Lesbian book and with little belief that I would find one literally the first book I spotted turned out to be Lesbian related! No joke!

I read the back and was so intrigued by it. Here it is: Goddess by Kelly Gardiner

I find it kind of hot how she fell inlove with a nun  It's based on a true story!

    The Miseducation of Cameron Post
    Keeping You a Secret
    Annine on My Mind
    Pages For You
    Girl Walking Backwards
    Ash

I really liked all of the ones I listed except I didn't like the ending of Pages For You, Keeping You a Secret is my favorite though.

Confession: I love young adult fiction more than I should. I should really be reading for pleasure at a higher level since I'm an English major, but there's something irresistible about teenage love stories. I did a project compiling YA LGBT fiction for one of my college classes, and I was a bit let down at the overall lack of quality lesbian YA fiction recently (compared to mediocre lesbian YA fiction and quality gay YA fiction). That said, two of my favorites are The Miseducation of Cameron Post and Ask the Passengers.

I've been wanting to read Goddess since I read about Julie D'Aubigny on Badass of the Week. If you want a fun read about her, check out their article here

Hi! I love reading and I recently got into lesbian books as well. I read "Keeping you a secret" in a few hours and I gotta say that I loved the first half and wish I hadn't read the second. As a closeted person, I would not really recommend it. I'm used to reading about murder and creepy monsters, but it's hard to accept that something sad might be happening to someone that could actually be you. Hope this whole thing makes sense. Byeee

A lot of the lesbian fiction I ahve come across has been really bad.

Always a women going through a divorce that accidently meets a girl one night....

Hopefully, I'll find something good soon!

    Yes.
It was not meant to discount the story, the link was given because there is a variety of solid opinions on this book there.
If the link does not work its possible to look at the version in the cache via google.

"Oranges are not the only fruit" is a good one

It's an autobiography about a girl from Northern England who has had a crazy religious cult-like upbringing, and realises she is gay. It's really good, and very emotional… if sometimes a little hard to follow, but still infused with mild humour.

Oooo what I want is some sort of sci-fi/horror/post-apocalyptic book with a lesbian pairing.

I agree most of it is bad, if you're looking for well written stuff I recommend:

The Price of Salt by Patricia Highsmith (my fav)
The Last Nude by Ellis Avery
The Dark Wife by Sarah Diemer(a retelling of the Greek myth of Persophone, it's cute)
    and anything by Sarah Waters

I'm currently reading Bodies of Water by T. Greenwood and I like it so far.
