Has anyone seen Pride? It's this really great British movie. Literally the most uplifting movie experience I've ever had. Plus, there's loads of cute gays in it :icon_bigg

It's out soon, although if you really want to see it it's out there on the net.

I saw it at the cinema here and really enjoyed it. The fact it's a true story is just mind boggling.

I loved it and cried my eyes out at the end. One to add to my DVD collection, I think!

I loved it. I came out to my parents in 1985 (the film is set in 84/85). I am the same age as 'Bromley', I remember Capital Gay and the collection buckets in the clubs in Brighton.
I remember the strike, the AIDS advert (which was actually a couple of years after 85) and the Gays the Word bookshop (although I never went there).
Shame about some errors. Wrong ring type on phone (when Gwen walks over to answer it). Wrong number dialled to call a number in Wales (01 numbers were then London numbers).
But I'm nitpicking, I loved the film. There's rumours it may move to the stage.
