Which player I use depends on the media. For music I use Amarok; for most video I use VLC; and for certain video file types that don't like VLC, like .mkv and such, I use MPlayer.

Windows Media Player 11 for my music, and VLC for all most videos (seeing it can read FLV files).

iTunes is nice and coverflow is orgasmic (albums go WHOOSH! XD), but in terms of usability, I find Windows Media Player's interface a lot more clean.

i use windows media player or centre, both latest version for basically anything. i might watch the occasional scrubs episode on VLC when i want to keep my windows playlist exactly where it is but i do like the skins and plug-ins i have on WMP so i use that almost exclusively.

Windows Media Player for quick, simple use. iTunes has never been appealing to me outside of organizing my songs - it takes too long to load and there are too many menus. WMP plays music and videos just fine when all I want to do is listen to/watch them, so I stick with that.
