On a good day, I think I have a not too terrible alto-mezzo voice, I really love singing...but at the same time I don't think I'm very good. Thinking that maybe if I post videos I will really know if I can sing.

Go for it! Just obviously you cannot share the YouTube link on here if it is your personal account.

just be prepared for some hate and comments on your looks, etc.

youtube comments are like the underbelly of the internet.

I'm thinking if you know enough about it to identify yourself as "alto-mezzo" you are better than a large percentage of the population. Besides, YT is free! Do it for the art and the fun, not the criticism.

Go ahead! I'm sure you're good if you're considering posting a video of you singing online. Plus confidence plays a big role in it all. If you feel good about what you're doing, odds are it will be good.

Post them up. Normally, when YOU yourself think you aren't very good... the loving people of youtube tend to disagree. Posted up a vid of a show I did once... (it's still on youtube actually.) I thought we did horrible... but alot of people said we sounded good. So go for it.

Haha pinkpanther....I'm a wheelchair user- I'm used to hate on my looks all the time, so I don't think a bunch of idiots behind their computer screens can bring me down:slight_smile: thank you for the support.
Any suggestions as far as songs go? I was thinking of covering Sia's "I'm In Here" because if I ever get the guts to audition for one of those shows, that's the song I want to do.
