My favs are "Rainbow Boys" and that that series, by something Sanchez, (I forgot his first name) and "The Straight Road to Kylie" by Nico Medina. Both are amazing books, not just books for the sake of a gay book. Very good plots and loveable cahracters! XD

If you go to Borders, they'll have a Queer section full of gay books.

There are billions of movies... just look harder...

    Personal favorites include:
    "Mambo Italiano"
    "All Over The Boy"
    "Another Gay Movie"
    "Brokeback Mountain"
    "Hellbent"

Those are all gay men though... I have no idea about lesbian oriented films.

My local Borders does have a queer section, but it's largely non-fiction. The queer fiction books are stocked in the regular fiction or YA fiction section, depending.

I know that most Barnes and Nobles have a Gay fiction section. I'm pretty sure Boarders does too. I haven't read many books, but the "Rainbow Boys" series was a good read, by Alex Sanchez.

There are plenty of gay films, I know my local Blockbuster had a gay section. My favorite gay film of all is actually a German movie called "Summersturm" or "Summer Storm". If you don't mind watching with subtitles, it's a great movie. Beside that, there is Eating Out and Eating Out 2, which are both great.

Over the summer my friend and I went through and watched the majority of the movies in the gay section at Blockbuster. To be honest, I forgot a lot of the movies we watched, there was a lot of them. Nonetheless, they're aren't hard to find. Last night my roommate I watched Buy Culture. It was interesting to say the least, I'm not sure if I liked it. My roommate is in the process of reading that book, from what I hear it's good.

    Hope it helps.

If you want to combine Fantasy with a smidge of homoerotica the Kylie Chan trilogy is amazing. Seriously incredible books.

First book was err White Phoenix.

There's a lot of amateur fiction on the internet that you can read. I spent the last 3 weeks that I've had off just reading some of it. most of it is close to the length of a paperback novel.

There's a couple of "gay road movies" out there that I've seen recently (although both quite old films) - but they're not "gay relationship" films - but are quite funny in their ways... and I'm surprised haven't been mentioned yet...

"Priscilla - Queen of the Desert"
"To Wong Foo - Thanks for Everything Julie Newmar"

If you search around on EC, there are a lot of gay books and gay movies threads. But this is my top recommendations, since I've read/seen a lot and I love them

Books: (roughly in order of preference)

A Density of Souls, by Christopher Rice

The World of Normal Boys, by K. M. Soehnlein

Call me by your name, by André Aciman

    Rainbow Boys, by Alex Sanchez

    Common Sons, by Ronald Donaghe

Boy Meets Boy, by David Levithan

Movies: (again, in order of preference)

    Summer Storm (Summersturm) [German]
For The Bible Tells Me So (documentary!)
    C.R.A.Z.Y. [Quebec]
    Mysterious Skin
    Beautiful Thing
    Another Gay Movie (ridiculous :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:)
    Shelter
    Get Real

    etc.

These are two of the best books, gay or not, i have ever read! As is The Snow Garden by Christopher Rice, which is a bit slow moving but haunting.
