For those of you who have done websites, I have a question. I did a simple website for my pflag chapter. I put meta tags on it. I'm wondering if there is something else that I should do so that we're easily found that doesn't cost money. (we're broke lol)
It may seem simple at first but making sure your chapter's website is on PFLAG's main site is important. There are so many people that will probably use the "Find a Chapter" search to find a local chapter. It is also important to properly title your page using the <title></title> tags in the header of your page. It's what's displayed at the top of your browser window and it's also what's displayed in search engine results.
Submitting your site to search engines is a good idea too. It just makes sure that their bots crawl your site. For example, Google: http://www.google.com/addurl/
