I've heard before that some people suspect Shakespeare was bisexual, as it seems he implies it in some of his works.
It's a very strong theory that many people believe. You can google it, you'll find a ton of articles and pages dedicated to pulling apart every bit of his work to 'prove' he was into men.
What straight man could write like that? Doesn't really matter, he's brilliant either way, but think about it.
I thought that this was common knowledge now. But either way, there's lots of allusions to homosexuality in his works. For example, the end of Henry V. I won't give away any spoilers but let's just say that it's quite obvious.
