I had no expectations of a third season given their low numbers, but I'm still quite sad. What a great show. A fantastic look at what it means to be gay in 2015. Obviously a drama but it still really resonated with me.
I read a bit about Looking on IMDb. It was a blurb really. What little I read--it sounded interesting. It always saddens me when good shows get cancelled because of low numbers. Maybe I'll be able to catch the first and second season on Netflix someday.
Aw, bummer, I didn't know HBO had cancelled this. I really like this show. The writing is excellent, and I related to something in almost every episode. Sad!
Yeah I just found out about that. It sucks cause the show was just starting to get really good after a lackluster first season.
yea it sucks that they canceled it. i don't understand why people want to compare it to Queer As Folk or Noah's Ark. all i hear from those guys is "OMG! IT'S NOT QAF! ITS TOO SEXUALIZED AND DEMEANING! IT'S TOO MASCULINE AND IT'S DRIVING AWAY FEMINISM IN MEN! IT HAS NO PLOT AND STORY! IT......" whatever thing you can think of.
It was okay but unfortunately, I did compare it to Queer As Folk because of the similarities. However, maybe because I am very partial to QAF, it was only right for me to draw comparisons of both shows and I have to say QAF wins out for me hands down. I just saw the Looking movie this morning and I have to say that it was okay...did not do much for me.
