Did anyone else read them? Or, for that matter, does anyone else still read them? I for one, still read them. But only the old ones because a) I got the collections from the '40s to '80s and LOVE them and b) I HATE the new artist. I used to have a major crush on Betty. But I never like Veronica; I could never figure out why she dated all those guys if she only wanted to be with Archie. So, yea, any one else read 'em.
Holy crap, I used to read those all the time!!! I had a crush on Betty too! XD Veronica was ok, but I loved Betty. Jughead always made me laugh, too. XD Oh, good times, good times...
I'm shocked that they still print them, to be honest. They seemed so time-warp-y even when I read them back in the 70s and early 80s. As Fred Hembeck once had Archie say, "Hi, there. I'm Archie Andrews. The world's most atypical typical teenagers. I don't drink, I don't do drugs, I don't cut class, and I ESPECIALLY don't have sex." That said, my friend described Moose as "my ideal guy." I said "Really?" He said, "Yeah. Football uniform above the waste, naked below, and I might have to duct tape his mouth shut..." He's an odd duck. But now I've got "Jingle Jangle" running around in my head. Sing-me, sing-me baby... Lex
I was always jealous of Archie Because every single person liked him. And his life seemed so perfect and funny. One day I hoped they would have a strip of Archie were Jughead stabs him in the eye, and feeds his body to a pack of crazy rabid dogs. ._.
I used to love archie comics, we bought like 20 at a flea market for $5... lol, she had 80 more, but we didn't have $30 Haven't read em lately though
I have a stack of Betty and Veronica comics in my bathroom. I liked Betty, but I LOVED Melody. You know, the singing one from the Josie and the Pussycats strips.
The Archie comic strip is now running in The Sun newspaper in Toronto. What I could never figure out was how Archie could date Veronica one day and Betty the next and yet no one would get upset.
I read them in the 80's growing up... *is now curious & off to google their post-80's comics* It was always Veronica I had the crush on though! Yes! I remember trying to figure out that mystery back in the day.
My question was more why both of THEM kept fighting over HIM. Sure, he was an OK Joe and all, but surely there were other guys at Riverdale... Lex
I know! He's such a player. If you can find them, the decade sets are AMAZING! Especially the '60s and '80s.
