As an avid musician and guitarist I am constantly writing songs in effort to convey feeling in which cannot be expressed other than in lyrics and chords. Anybody else feel the same way? :smilewave
I consider myself someone who can write lyrics, just not music. I write plenty of lyrics and I usually sing from the heart when I'm doing random chores sometimes
I think I'm pretty alright at making music, I just suck at writing words to match. The music comes easily, I usually can't help but have a new rhythm or melody or song structure going in my head most of the time I'm awake not already listening to something. Lyrics...nope
I definitely know how you feel. I love writing music and I won't give it up for really much of anything. It's a great way of creative expression and I enjoy it. It's challenging, and there's a lot to consider especially since I like to make it as good as possible-I focus on all parts of a song. I'm not a professional and I won't pretend that I am- but I love doing it, it's all encompassing for me and I love it.
NICE! I am the complete opposite lol. I can write chords and solos and drum beats all day, but i can't write lyrics
