I am totally addicted to crime dramas~ am I the only one? ^.^ What are your favorite crime dramas/police procedurals? I feel like they're really cathartic and I love that the bad people are almost always caught~~

I love SVU (and all the Law and Order spinoffs, haha) Major Crimes, and Criminal Minds, the most~~

What are yours and why do you think people like these kinds of shows?

I grew up on NCIS, so I've had a love of crime dramas for a long time. My favourites are Numb3rs, Criminal Minds, and White Collar (hello Matt Bomer).

On the slightly sci-fi side, I really enjoy Haven.

I'm not that into crime dramas, but I enjoy documentaries about actual murders and criminals.

I love a relatively new crime show called Stalker. I think it's a lot better than most other crime dramas out there.

I am obsessed with Criminal Minds! I also think Scorpion and CSI: Cyber are really cool.

I know I like crime shows more than shows about real crimes (like 48 Hour Mysteries) because I know the crime is fake. It doesn't terrify me as much as knowing that what I was watching actually happened to someone.

I'm big into Law & Order SVU at the moment I watch one or two shows a night before I go sleep, But I'm finding they keep showing the ones I've seen already :eusa_doh: , Used to be into NCIS... I do like true crime shows but most true crimes I watch are American as the UK do not really do shows like it Often sadly...

After watching The Wire I can't watch those network police serials like CSI and Law & Order. They just seem like a sketch, or a really bad imitation. It's also weird to see cops and prosecutors portrayed so righteously compared to how they were portrayed in The Wire.

Aside from that, I like Luther (BBC police drama with Idris Elba) and The Killing wasn't great, but not bad either. Does Sherlock count?

Back off Asexual Pirate, Matt is mine! I used to watch Law & Order. Does Murder She Wrote count?

I love crime dramas! The first ones I was hooked on were Cold Case and Without a Trace. Since then, I have watched quite a few such as Rizzoli & Isles, iZombie, White Collar, Monk, Bones, Rookie Blue, Chicago PD (though I probably will put on hold after this season), Pushing Daisies which is unlike any other crime series I've seen, and my favorite at the moment Lost Girl which has supernatural elements to it as well. Then there are series that are not necessarily crime series but have investigation as one of their main elements such as House and Desperate Housewives (another one of my favorites).

    Yes!

White Collar was my favourite, I'm so sad it's over.

^ Don't remind me. I didn't get to see the last season so I'll be buying the DVD. No spoilers please.

Bones and Pushing Daisies were decent, the rest... Not my thing. I'm not much into television these days, and if I watch something crime related is usually detective series or documentaries related to crime.

The only series I love to death and watch regularly is The Untouchables, with Robert Stack, but I'm not sure if it fits into the modern description of 'crime drama'...

Ooh~ I need to catch up on some of these that I forgot~~

I like the serial killer ones, but the 48 Hour Mysteries and such that are real and unsolved... no, thanks. I want justice, even if it's not realistic T.T

I like the Danish series 'The Killing'.

NCIS is good too but we never watched it when I was younger because we had about 5 channels, lol. Thank goodness for satellite TV.

NCIS, Rizzoli & Isles and especially the Mentalist!! Other crime series are nice to watch occasionally but nothing for me to keep up with longer.

Love SVU!! Only seasons 1 - 12 though, I'm not a fan of the new detectives and I'm bitter that Chris Meloni left.

    N.C.I.S. too!! Again, only seasons 1 - 8.

    Bones.
