Okay, So, Father 'mis 'mis is bringing me an Acer A1 for christmas. The first thing i'll do is test out the standard linux software on it, then install ubuntu. Basically, all I want to know is if there is a program that will record straight from the built in camera. I guess this is open to everyone, more specifically the most frequent linux users. Please and thank you.
ahh cheese should work, just got it from the ubu upgrade :S had trouble with it though. My webcam aint picked up by gstreamer or cheese, but it does work in camorama. Can't record video in camorama though... play with cheese, see what webcams it supports find out what webcam software's already on it; that should work
