Do You Think Musicians Deserve Honorific Nicknames Or Be Called "Legends"?

    So it's coming up to the 6th anniversary of Michael Jackson's death and I've been thinking about the legacy he left behind. A lot of people refer to him as the King Of Pop, and people have different reasons for naming him as such. Do you think that Musicians deserve such titles? If so, what is the criteria for becoming a "legend?"

    Not very many. But the ones who had really meaningful things to say and touched lives with their performances on a regular basis certainly deserve the title.

    When I hear the word legend, I think of something ancient, not something fairly contemporary.

    To me, what makes a legend depends on what their contributions are to whatever genre they've done to help it make it what it is today.
