So... I know people die... But not Jon. And the dauthraki, the Lannisters, I mean... These last 3 episodes. Ugh my night is all messed up here...
haven't read the books, but I knew Stannis wasn't going to make it after what he did last episode. I figured Jon was safe after all the Starks that have been killed, but I knew he was in trouble as soon as Ollie came to get him. all in all, a pretty dark episode.
Fitting end for Stannis after what he did to his own daughter. I can't believe Melisandre is going to get away with what she did, because there's no one left alive to tell others. I'm not convinced Jon is dead. No one is talking about Myrcella and that was upsetting. Myranda died quickly and unexpectedly, didn't she? Arya was badass but then those Faceless Jerks made her blind. And I'm pretty sure Dany's okay, after all she has Drogon. He was with her when the dothraki found her in the books...he'll come to her rescue in the show.
Olly was annoyingly obvious. ^^ They kept cutting away to his face and reaction every time Jon did something throughout the season. Kit has said he's not coming back, but honestly if D&D don't bring Jon Snow back next season then they'll be wasting a potentially great plotline. I'm not sure they can afford to get rid of this character in particular. If Jon isn't at the Wall and neither is Sam, then we've got no reason to follow the Wall storyline anymore (and it's the freaking most important one). Besides, Melisandre is headed for the Wall... As for Myrcella, well... I wonder where they're going with that one. Will she live (probably not), and if she doesn't, will there be war? Will Doran just lock up the Sand Snakes and Ellaria? (I'm so disappointed with Ellaria's portrayal this season -- I thought she was great last season. If Doran executes her I will be happy, but somehow I doubt it will happen.) I will say, while Myrcella's knowledge about Jaime/Cersei was a WTF moment for me, their scene was incredibly touching. Of course, they only did it so that her death would have more impact, but still. It was so sweet to see Jaime like that, and Nikolaj nailed it. Myranda's death was unexpected because Theon's turnaround was complete and sudden. I think it could have been handled better, but I was so relieved to see Sansa finally doing something that I'm not complaining.
Melissandra will revive Jon. That or he comes back as a white walker. If Tyrion or Dany dies at any point I'll lose it.
One minute Stannis is surrounded by a huge army then next it cuts to him in a forest pretty much on his own? and Brienne is there somehow? Then Ramsey Bolton rides off from the battle without even knowing what has happened to Stannis? These things annoy me haha Apart from the episode with the battle with the undead this series has been weak really.
Huh, a lot of people watch this show, but I've yet to see it. Sounds kinda grisly...does it have unicorns and ponies? I'm kinda scared.
I was waiting till the finale aired, I have a box set of the first 5 books in paperback, going to start reading them finally. (!)
