I guess depending on where you live, "Paki" is more of a common slur. Kinda like how down here in Miami for example, nobody knows what "Wog" means. But you get that word censored elsewhere.

It was a boneheaded, unintentional mistake. I don't think people are getting up in arms about it so much as they're finding it funny because of shit like "Pakis out of containment."

People just need something to complain about. They apparently dont know anything about dinosaur names at all. Apparently they dont know that "Pachy" is short for Pachyrhinosaurus, which is a real dinosaur.

Pachyrhinosaurus is a Ceratopsian dinosaur related to dinosaurs like Triceratops and Centrosaurus. Its name means "Thick nosed lizard", and was an Herbivore.

And people are whining about little things like this instead of doing something against real racism....-.-

Like why the T-Rex isn't called the LGBT-Rex? What does it have against the other letters?

I don't like to minimize people's experiences and tell them that they're not experiencing racism if they really think they are...but this is honestly picking at straws.

I'm offended when people get offended with offensive things that shouldn't be offensive but they are offensive because people get offended.

I think the name 'Archaeornithomimus' should be changed. It's offensive against mimes everywhere.

Obviously, the T-Rex is a homophobic and biphobic species.

Just watched it yesterday and when I heard that I did have a "Hang on, did they just say what it sounded like they said?!" moment lol. But yeah, you can pretty much instantly realise this is a US film obviously being unaware of British slang.

Hey, T-Rex is going through a lot at the moment. Like how the new JW dinosaur has obviously more impressive arms; something T-Rex has always been very self conscious about.

Basically, T-Rex is just being a bit of a Grumpy-saur-ass about it all.

I was offended Jurassic World was called a "movie" it was one of the most poorly thrown together piles of garbage I've watched, that's what was offensive.

In Jurassic World, they were referring to Pachycephalosaurus. Still a real dinosaur, though! Nothing racist to see here. Move along.

I've heard of the slur "pakis", but I would say that it's pretty uncommon in the US. It's only offensive if you take it out of context. I haven't seen the movie, but I would assume it's clear from the dialogue that they are referring to dinosaurs and not people from Pakistan.

What the heck? I definitely don't think that was intentional. Here in California it's not a slur, people use it just the same as black or white or any other label referring to race and it's not meant to be offensive. When they were making this movie I doubt they were even thinking about race.

    'Cause it's ours, sister.
I don't care about the lack of respect, but if the fools go near to OUR dinosaur I'll turn them into a extincted species.
