It's been 6 years since you left us, and the music industry will never be the same. You taught us how to sing, to perform, to moonwalk....and to be a human being. No matter what the media says about you, we saw you for who you really were : a kind, gentle, generous man who passed too soon. That's something I will always remember. Rest in peace, Michael. We love you and miss you.
It's almost impossible to believe it's already been six years since the King of Pop left us. Pentatonix actually made a mashup tribute for him this week as well, and it's amazing. He's definitely still moonwalking in our memories to this day.
He was burdened by quite a bit and his family pressure and dynamics didn't help much. He just kept on inching up his need for pain medication to escape more and more. As for his talent, you can't take away that he represents an era and a genre. Some of his really good works also came along when he was a youngster with the Jackson 5. Here is "Got to be There" and he got this one right: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTxvWW667Mg He would have been interesting to talk to, if that would have even been possible. I'm sure his mind worked quite differently than do most of ours.
I never cared much about the yellow press, and never will : His music, moves, voice and lyrics were unique. He can't be copied... Or 'improved'. The guy was just a flawless artist. And the videos... I introduced my sister to his music. She fell in love with him, and mind you she is 15. The music will never grow old, and he'll be remembered together with the Stones or Pink Floyd. His last songs were also very good by the way.
WOW never 6 years!!! I remember that day so well I was devastated! He had such amazing talent and forever remembered for that!!
It's interesting to think back on this... for quite a long while, many folks used to make fun of Michael Jackson and his eccentric behavior, especially in the later years. But when he died, suddenly, his harshest critics were praising the man as if he were a god. Not sure if they were genuinely ashamed or just hoping on that death bandwagon. Anyway, I liked Michael Jackson enough. Well, musically and his younger days. The 90s is when he started going through a lot of... changes. My favorite song of his? Smooth Criminal.
(S)He was definetely a closet transgender person who couldn't come out. A legendary performer. But definetely on the pedophile side... and that I'm not a fan of.
What makes you believe Michael was trans.? I am just curious. As far as musically, I don't think anyone could be so well-versed in styles. He could do rock, rap, soul, and r&b so well. It's impossible to think of someone who can pull off so many genres, and it will never happen again.
Also what makes you think he was a pedophile? He was strange, no doubt about that but I highly doubt he molested any kids
