Does anyone else find this offensive?

This kind of drives me nuts, because it is not an attack at gay people, it is an attack at metrosexuals or emo kids. When she calls them gay, she isn't saying this is how all gay people act, she is saying that they act the gay sterotype.
She DOES NOT say that this is how all gay people act.

It's not offensive. It suggests that "gay" is something to be avoided, it's pandering, and it's a lousy song. But I don't think it's offensive.

I saw in an interview its about guys who wear guyliner, use flat irons, wear girls jeans, spend a lot of time in front of a mirror
all of which i do (I do wear girls jeans, I own one pair, and that's only cuz the store didn't carry guys skinny jeans)
She said it was venting about the whole emo scene
and I honestly couldn't care less. She isn't a jerk, she isn't homophobic and she doesn't bother me

 

I agree Asteroid. she says at the beginning "i hope you hang yourself with your H&m scarf" i don't like suicide i deal with suicide every day and referring to suicide in a song putting down the Gay Culture... shes sick.

 

I find it highly entertaining. If I was an emo boy I think I would be offended. I think it's more of an attack at them.

Definately not. People who are offened I think are taking it way too seriously. It's a fun, stupid song, and it's not meant to insult gay people. If she didn't like gay people she obviously wouldn't write I Kissed a Girl or be friends with Perez Hilton.

Not really but it throws around the word 'gay' without considering its proper meaning. Personally I think the song is kinda funny, especially the ending.

I don't see it as an 'attack' on metros or whatever and the lyrics certainly aren't offensive, it's just another mildly funny, lame song. So I voted no.
