Omg, it was so sad / happy / amazing / eyeopening :tears:

I felt so warm inside every time they hugged eachother. It made me feel so good inside watching it. I cant wait for the day someone holds me that way, its so beautiful. :tears:

The only movies of its kind ive seen are Shelter and Latter Days. Its hard to say what one was better. Shelter made me feel SO good inside...and Latter Days really opened my mind. both were done beautifuly, and im so glad someone makes movies like them. They were clean, yet didnt hold back, and they seemed accurate and relatable. So, so, so good. If you havent seen either of them, WATCH THEM! Go to www.dailymotion.com and they are split into 10/11 parts.

Any other suggestions? And add in if i need my Kleenex box handy! :tears:

You should watch The Matthew Shepard Story. I'm sure you know who Matthew Shepard is. If you don't, read him up at Wikipedia or something.

Anyways, Kleenex is essential for this movie. Easily the most difficult movie for me to watch. I couldn't control myself. I cried so much. Just type the title of the movie in Youtube. It's broken into 9 parts if I'm not wrong.

I've never actually seen either of them (I know, I'm not a dedicated gay like others hehe). THe gay musical/movie that really hits me emotionally is RENT (gee, who woulda guessed that?). Everytime Collins sings I'll Cover You (Reprise), I just want to hug him, especially when it's Jessie L Martin playing him

To be honest, I didn't like it that much. It felt like the most basic of love stories, with absolutely nothing new except the twist of the main character being gay.

Shelter was really sweet, I thought, and nicely done. If you like films in its vein, I highly recommend Trick. It's wonderful!

    Im streaming Trick now

Ill make a thread about it maybe, i might even start doing mini-reviews on the site (and links to were i found them) for people since all of these are streamed online making it easy to watch if your not "out" yet.

  11. Absolutely not, that's a ludicrous suggestion. (Sarcasm for those who couldn't detect it)

YES RENT! RENT is perfect for anything really.

I just watched Shelter. What and awesome, intensely emotional story. I cried my little heart out! It is so defining of the irrational bigotry of so many, who, in many ways, are by the same religious system just as evil.

RENT. OMG. My latest obsession, just bought the two-disc dvd.

If you haven't seen it you MUST. I dunno if Collins and Angel really count as a gay couple since Angel's transsexual (they call him a drag queen, but even Mark called her 'she') but they were so adorable.

    I laughed, I cried. Wonderful. /corny

I watched Shelter yesterday afternoon....... and it actually made me realize a lot about myself.

Not just that. I decided that I can admit to myself that I'm bi, and this morning, I called my best friend (who moved away a few months ago), and came out to her. She's the only person in the world who knows. And I feel amazing.

I really owe it to the movie, it opened my eyes and made me start to accept myself.
