So I "discovered" Coldplay about 2 years ago, and have since been rather obsessed. I actually found them having no previously formed opinions or peer influence (I live with my head consistently buried in the sand).

Anyways, I just wanted to know what the general opinion of you peoples is on the band Coldplay. Like 'em? Hate 'em? Why?

Your thoughts won't influence my own opinions, but I'd still like to know.

Their older stuff are ok. I usually feel like falling asleep whenever i hear their music. Not that i hate them or anything, just that i wont voluntarily listen to their music.

I like some of their songs. 'Clocks' will always be a great song. And 'Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall' is good too. My opinion on them is similar to Imagine Dragons, I am usually very indifferent about their sound, but every now and again they'll come out with a song that I find amazing.

I haven't heard anything new from them though.

I like some of their older songs and I love "Fix you". Probably one of the best bands to listen to when you are feeling down.

The Scientist is my jam! But that's pretty much the extent of my Coldplay liking.

I sincerely dislike them and find their music extremely dull. It all sounds the same to me, not exciting in any way. They once played at a festival where I was, as the closing act of the weekend. Actually they were only act playing at that moment.

    I left the festival site.

    sorrynotsorry for honest opinion.

Good band. My band played Clocks a few times (me on piano). Good, not great.

They were my favorite band, but then I found Interpol and Joy Division. Plus, their recent albums (after Viva la Vida) really suck.
