So I've been watching The L Word and I'm wondering... is that even possible? Not trying to offend anyone but I never heard that before and well... "lesbian" is a woman, so how could a man be a lesbian? Or is it just something they invented for the show?
I don't watch The L Word, but that seems to me like the kind of things obnoxious straight guys who hit on lesbians say - "oh, I must be a lesbian too, I love pussy! huh huh huh huh"
I'm not sure, I mean... that person seemed to be fine being called "he" and dressing in "male" clothes and everything, and besides a trans woman is still a woman...
To clear, wasn't trying to imply that transwomen aren't women, I just wondered about possible other identities of that character. I hope I haven't offend anyone.
I didn't think you were implying that, I just meant that trans women are women so if that character was a trans woman they'd simply be a lesbian, not a lesbian-identified man
So I actually love that show and am re-watching it right now actually! <3 Shane. From my interpretation of the character he wasn't very dysphoric about his body. Max and Ivan were transgendered characters but I never thought Lisa was. He seemed to be comfortable with his body, was attracted to women but didn't like using his penis in sex acts and preferred using toys and other methods of having sex. He also looked like he was going to be sick after Alice made him use it :< Anyway the above is in no way fact and was just my interpretation of the character! I don't know if it's a real thing but there's all type of people out there so I wouldn't be surprised if it was!
But then why not just call himself a lesbian instead of a lesbian-identified man? I loved this show, I remember I couldnt stop watching it on Netflix before I came out .. I was just day dreaming what it would be like to Come out and be with a women. I was lesbain virgin back then LOL sounds funny to say but happy to say I have been with my gf for almost 6 yrs. I so wish they didnt stop the show .. I loved Shane she was soo HOT.
Shane is sexy, hot, deep, gorgeous, kind and I think his best written character on the show! Gives her pls ;_; I need.
No he wasn't. He never dressed like a woman or mentioned that he wanted to be a woman. The character was played for laughs.
