I just finished Rubyfruit Jungle recently by Rita Mae Brown and found it to be pretty interesting:thumbsup:
What are some other great lgbt books?
    Which one is your favorite?

I haven't read any lgbt books due to parents and people asking what book is that which annoys me. I have also yet to read a book with any gay characters I only see books that are all straight or all gay. I don't want to read anything to sensual but it would be nice to get lost in a book atleast I relate to :frowning2:

I have a lot of them, like the Mortal Instruments series (though LGBT isn't the focus), Hot Head (firefighters), The Song of Achilles (so sad...) and Family of Lies (fantasy). If I had to choose, my favorite would be Him, by Sarina Bowen. I usually don't like sports--it's a hockey novel, but the characters and plot were amazing

I'd recommend the book "Openly Straight". It's about a boy who goes into a new school without being openly gay to be 'one of the guys'. It's really thought provoking and I read it in one night, staying up till 3!

Gareth Thomas - Proud. An excellent biography. So much of the book deals with him coming to terms with his sexuality. If you're married in a straight relationship and coming to terms, this is a must read. But really, for anyone struggling with their sexuality, I would recommend it.

David Leviathan - Boy Meets Boy.
An incredibly cute PG romance novel that is very well written and very digestible. The way he writes about teenage life is so perfect. Wholly relatable and highly recommended.

Either the Little Boy Lost series by JP Barnaby or the Tales from Foster High series by John Goode. The former is very explicit though so it may not appeal to everyone. I'm pretty sure the author released an alternate version that's more PG-13 but I loved the original.

Dancer from the Dance--by Andrew Holleran, hands down my favorite book of any genre. But there are so many other great LGBT novels.

I didn't know that this was LGBT when I bought it, and LGBT isn't the main focus, but it is important to the story line.
The book is called: Reconstructing Amelia.

It's about a mother who investigates her daughter's sudden suicide.
It was a great book, I couldn't put it down, but also very sad.

Affinity by Sarah Waters. Her other books are good too.

I've never read an LGBT book before and I was wondering: Are there any one might recommend that are sci-fi/fantasy?

Magic's Pawn, Magic's Promise, Magic's Price by Mercedes Lackey. They're solid fantasy, not the best I've ever read but solid and the main characters are a gay male couple.
