I love my mac, but the internet connection on it is not so good. :/

    GarageBand is the best though!

  4. Primarily PC, but with Linux installed. It's quite orgasmic.

I got a Mac Mini for Christmas, which I use for doing things that only work with OS X, like Objective C. For most other things, I use Linux.

Rarely I need Windows for something (usually to make something work for somebody else), so I VNC over to a Windows box in the next room.

I'm a PC person. I know, Macs don't get viruses, they're very pretty and are the best thing for art students (which I am), but I find PC very easy to handle, it's cheaper, it does what it needs to and what I need it to and it plays GAMES! I couldn't live without my Dungeon Keeper II or Portal. Don't get me wrong, Macs are nice, but they just aren't for me.

    Never had a mac...too pricey
It's basically the same anyway, the only thing i'd use it for is to make myself an ipod app.

OS X is a better and more stable operating system then Vista and I think Apple knows how to build good hardware, so thats why Im a mac person. But I don't mind XP. I have never used Linux so I cant really say anything about it .

All of this is of course personal opinion.

I love Macs. PCs hate me. Sadly, I can't afford a Mac therefore, I am stuck with PCs that hate me.

    Congrats on the MacBook!

About 5 years ago I got a G5 PowerMac at work, and I've been hooked ever since. I still have that G5 and earlier in the year I ordered a MacBook Pro.

My love affair with Apple products continues to go, just bought an iPhone a few weeks ago and I am thinking about a new iMac to replace my desktop at home.

You'll love the MacBook, if you've never used a Mac before, it will take a few weeks to get used to it, but once you do, your computing experience will be more enjoyable.

    PC all the way.
And yes Macs DO get viruses!
Has anyone tried the leaked Windows 7 beta? Its way better then Vista that's for sure, I love it.

My main workstation is a MacBook Pro and it is the best system I have ever owned. I've used a Mac in one way or another since the mid 90s. I've used a lot of operating systems over the years MSDOS, OS/2, Linux, Windows, Mac, AIX

I also have Windows and Linux systems that I use for various things. I have several Windows and Linux VMs that I run on my MacBook Pro that I use for some testing purposes. However 95% of my work and personal use is done on my MacBook Pro.

I really don't understand why some people get so involved in the Mac vs PC debate. I use a Mac because it fits my needs better. I expect everyone else to choose their system for same reason.

Macs are amazing, but it's really annoying how many programs don't have a version for mac, just for pc! grrrrrr :tantrum:

I've been a Mac user for years, very happy with them. If forced to use a PC, I would prefer to use Linux than Windows.
