Anyone else like it? I get annoyed how male pronouns are used, but regardless it's a great movie and play! I hope I'm not the only one who thinks it's funny! ^_^

It's an amazing film. So ahead of it's time.
I loved it as a kid.
I'm hoping to see a theatre production of it sometime soon.

I loved it. My mother used to love it but think it sucks now. My younger sister thought it was weird and prefers the Glee version.

All the love in the world! Rocky Horror is amazing.

(sidenote: people who silently watch this movie really bug me!)

I still have it in my VHS collection, though I have yet to watch it officially. I have seen it reviewed, and it seems pretty good, I always love Tim Curry in movies, except when he was in Congo.

I like watching it by myself because I think it's stupid that in the theater, everyone says and does certain things at different parts of the movie. It's like a bunch of non-conformists acting like conformists.

As far as the pronouns are concerned, we have to consider the time period in which the film was made. There was very little trans awareness.

Besides that, I don't actually consider Frankie a transwoman. I consider Frankie a drag queen, which is vastly different. Frank actually flaunts his remaining masculinity, even under all the glitz. He wants people to know what he's got going on down there. He's proud to be biologically male (obscenely, explicitly proud), but he's also like "Yeah, I look amazing in heels."

I haven't ever seen it but from what I've heard I think it sounds great. Does anyone know if it's on Netflix or something?

^i think it's coming to hulu plus. But if you've never seen it you really should go to a theatre to see it for the first time. It's so much fun to have all the little props, and dance to the time warp.

I've never seen it but it seems like a real good time. I'd love to watch it and then see it in theatre!

I`ve seen it on vhs, dvd, and multiple times in-theatre. Sweet Transvestite is the song to which my heart beats

Love it...been loving it since I lost my virginity in 1984. Exposed my partner to it and *she* loves it. I don't find the ending sad...right before the final scene, turning the screen faster and faster until it becomes the spinning globe? Too friggin' cool!

    Tim Curry...Susan Sarandon...ah hell. *sigh*

I definitely second the notion that if you've never seen it, you *must* see it in a theater, or at *least* with several people who *have* seen it in a theater. This isn't something you'll get anything from, sitting alone at home watching Netflix (well, ok...you may get something, but you won't know what you're missing).

I lOVE the rocky horror picture show
I sit and force myself to watch it every 6 months, at Hallowen and in May the 1st.
The songs are everything. Eddie, Sweet Transvestite, both Science Fiction/Double Feautre, The Sword Of Damocles, Rose Tints My World, Time Warp(I can't help standing and dancind to it while watching the scene), Dammit Janet, I'm Going Home, the Fanfare part, Super Heroes. I use some of them as alarm clock and my mom hates it and that makes me like them more(just like the Canon in D xD).
I do think, though, that they make too much emphasis on men's sexuality. I don't know if you get me. Or maybe it's just my inclination toward guys.
What I like the most about it is that everytime I watch it, I discover something else that I couldn't see the last time. For example, the third time I discovered that the married couple from the Dammit Janet scene were Magenta and Riff Raff.
Riff Raff and Tim Curry are everything ♥-♥
The ending is perfect. Not sad at all, just... intense. And interesting. It makes you think. And of course if you watch it with a "virgin", their face at that moment is 99% of the reasons you wake up that day.
But they don't make live productions in my country :icon_sad: for what I found on Internet, they used to make a show but they stoped making it in 2000.
(sorry for my cheap english, my teacher this year is awful and doesn't make us do anything)
