It is kinda surreal when someone dies that was such a part of your childhood. Sounds weird since he was just a director, but still watching horror movies was one of the best things I enjoyed during my childhood. I would watch Nightmare pt 23 if they kept making em simply for nostalgia if nothing else. Same with Friday the 13th.
Terrible news. He was probably my favourite horror director and always came across as a genuinely nice and interesting guy in interviews. I'd recommend skipping 'Deadly Friend'......................
Wes was pretty much the one who introduced me to the world of horror, and I don't know who or where I'd be without him. Omg nooo! I loved Nightmare on elm street and the Scream movies! Devastated! So sad! R.I.P you talented man!
