Just watched the pilot for the UK version of the show, "Being Human." I liked it pretty well, just as a general first impression.

Have any of you ever seen it and if so what do you think? Worth watching? Pros and cons?

I've watched the whole first season and it is really interesting. It is definitely worth watching. I like the show because the idea of Artiticial Intelligences has alwayd interested me and Sentient AI more so. Oh anf almost everyone has a really sexy accent so that's a big plus ahaha. As for cons I can't really think about it.

Yes it is good and quite funny.

If you enjoy it check out In The Flesh which was released at a similar time on the same channel. Very similar humor.

I watched the U.S. version first then watched the UK one. I overall liked the U.S. one better.

I just watched the first episode too, and I liked it. How is it for gore/horror though? I'm not a big fan haha, and the scene of the guy with his chest ripped out was a bit much for me.
Is the US or UK version the original?

Also fun fact: the guy that plays George is gay in real life.

Yes, and absolutely yes. I love Being Human. Like all TV series, it has it's ups and downs but it is on the whole, excellent.

I refuse to acknowledge the American impostor version that showed up. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: The original version is clearly the best!

You're thinking of "Humans". Totally different show, but  I knew what you were talking about!

This sums it up for me.

Cons: It can be a little gory if you're sensitive to it, but I've seen much much worse.
Pros: I have all 5 series on DVD. I find it funny and quite down to earth, in that the characters behave in a very real way. Series 3 gets a little dark for me but I love 4 and 5. If you like british tv to me it is very much this, with subtle british humour. Also Aidan Turner is in it. Can't go wrong with an Irish accent. And Russell Tovey who is just brilliant!

    Basically watch it. :icon_bigg

Yeah it is very good especially the first couple of series'. I would say it does peter out slightly as the series' go.

If it makes any difference, I watched the US version and I liked it more. Maybe because I'm attuned to the american style of directing or something, but both are good. It's like Supernatural. It gets better and more crazy/interesting as the show goes on.

I have a friend who loves it (it's his favorite show), but I've never seen it myself, but he says it's good.
