I finished The House, which I LOVED, but the first couple of episodes of Asylum and I'm just like meh, idk maybe it has to do with my religious upbringing and ppl abusing authority in God's name is a bit of a trigger for me. What do you think, random person?
It was defintely the last decent season imo. Season 3 just got progressively more stupid and convoluted. Have been advised to stay away from season 4 all together.
Asylum was a good season other than the weird alien part, but I think over all it was a good story. The name game episode is one of my favorites. :lol: But my favorite AHS season would have to be the first one.
Have to agree, Asylum was either the best one or the second best. I think it's creepy in a different way from season 1, hauntings are fantasy, but the stuff in season 2 actually happened not so long ago... electroshock therapy, lobotomy, housewives who had depression were deemed crazy and shut in one of these asylums and so were gay people... It's different but I think I like it more, how close it strikes.
Coven was my favourite season, but Asylum would probably come in second for me. I can't wait for AHS Hotel with Lady Gaga, should be quite interesting to see how it turns out
I'd have to say that Asylum is the second best season. It's good, but Murder House was better. Coven was meh and Freakshow was blah.
Murder House is the best season by far. I liked Asylum to an extent, but it wasn't amazing. I loved Coven until I found out about Kyle and his mum and after that I stopped watching. It freaked me out. I haven't watch Freak Show, I don't particularly want to either. I'm going to watch Hotel though I think because I love Matt Bomer and Lady Gaga.
Asylum was amazing IMO. I love the possesion in it. It was creepy and the ending was perfect IMO. Murder house was actually a bit boring to me. Coven was a little to bright compared to the others though. Haven't seen freak show yet. Gotta catch up before hotel Can't wait for matt Bomer and gaga

I found Asylum a bit boring at the beginning too but then it got better. Imo it was the most disturbing season, but I also loved Murder House. Freak Show story just kept getting crazier but I loved the characters.
Question, is AHS as scary as The Exorcist? Because if it is then I definitely won't be watching, but I do want to give it a try. I just REALLY dislike horror! Or would you rate it more like The Craft? Which is the only horror anything I've ever liked.
I really love all of the seasons. AHS is my favorite show ever. Asylum is pretty good, I think. It has some cool twists. Like others have said, Coven is meh at best. Freak Show is really not the best, but it has its moments. I would still recommend all seasons for anyone interested. Really excited for Hotel!!
I enjoyed Asylum but found it fairly overrated. It was like they were just shoving every horror movie cliche into the mix and hoping it would all work. The overall season just felt very messy and poorly structured. I must be one of the few that loved Coven. The characters were by far my favorite out of any season (Fiona Goode, Misty Day, Marie Laveau, Myrtle, etc)
My gf and I both loved Asylum, but my brother prefers House. I think Asylum is more psychological, which is my sort of thing, and anytime a show/movie features James Cromwell being a creep, I'm all about that. (I also watched the last half of Asylum while very much sleep deprived, so that might've added to my enjoyment of it, lol). I still need to watch Coven and Freak Show.
