    This response---nice.

It only took about 30 years before a few gay characters showed up in anything Star Wars (let's not get into the "canon" problem) and now, almost 10 years after that people are getting mad about a character in a new book? Like, there's no danger of an LGBT character getting in any of the movies anytime soon so what do they care? Cuz nobody reads books...:rolle:

Star Trek 40 years.... still waiting.

Meanwhile there's plenty of other sci-fi and fantasy that include the alphabet community, right?

That don't hide it in extremely subtle, almost not even there ways? Or acknowledge it only outside the series itself? Or that don't wait until the last 10 seconds of the series finale to even acknowledge it?

    Right?

Being a member of several Star Wars fan groups - I can say that most Star Wars fans are close minded homophobes. Mainly because of their age and gender.
