Whats the different between an anime Movie and the OAV? When i go into stores looking for random anime movies, they always ask me that and i dont know the difference :/
A movie is a movie. Was most likely released in theaters, etc. An OAV is the equivalent to direct-to-video. Movies will generally be of a higher animation quality than OAVs, though OAVs are also usually better animated than regular series. But the there's more room for plot development in an OAV (theoretically, at least), because it has the potential to span several discs/episodes. I remember something about one OAV series going on for over a hundred episodes.
