Based (and an unapologetic rip-off) of the "what's your favourite Christmas song?" thread. I thought we'd be a little Scroogey here and have a good ol' complain.

Personally, my least favourite has to be "Fairytale of New york". It just makes me cringe, the guy who has a singing part in it just sounds so drunk in it, and man does he drone on an on and on I just find it so dull.

It's always fun to see people betting on it whenever it comes on the radio on if they'll bleep out f:***::***:got or not, and see some one punch the air dramatically exclaiming "dammit!" if they lost.

So what about you? I think this may have created a flame war or at least a heated argument up in 'ere by posting this, whoops. Oh well, never mind. I tried. And let's go! :eusa_danc

My least favourite would definitely be Mary, Did You Know. Not really because of it being a very religious song, but because I always find the song so incredibly slow regardless of who's singing it.

I am afraid of the Christmas song, Carol of the Bells. It makes me uncomfortable of my surroundings, I feel like anytime there's a maniac that's gonna hurt me badly. I dont know why I have this weird feeling against it.

The obnoxious whiny Madonna cover of Santa Baby, and the one with the dreary/creepy children's choir singing "on this very Christmas night" over Pachelbel's Canon

The Christmas Shoes. Not disagreeing with the message or anything, but I loathe that song. I was forced to sing it a few years back..

"Last Christmas I Gave You My Heart." It's slow and slightly mean-spirited. The singer sounds dead and emotionless. The music is utterly boring.

“All I Want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth” & “Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer”

Just no. They're are just annoying to me.

Oh and agree with SemiCharmedLife on Madonna's cover of Santa Baby. It's well, not the best...

The one that those high pitched Chipmunks sing about Christmas.

That one's really weird, I heard it once and I don't think it's a song that you'd want to go back to, so I'd have to agree with you there. I can't remember much of it, but it was a weird concept for a song about Christmas.

True, I've been hearing Christmas song pretty much at the start of November. They do get annoying after awhile. Especially hearing "Jingle bells" in November, stop it! It's not even December here yet. :eusa_doh:

I can never get that one out my head, and now you've reminded me it's come back into my mind. :eusa_doh:

Last Christmas.. it doesn't matter who it's by or how it's sung, it's just AWEFUL. Not only does it sound whiny, but it sounds a little desperate as well. I get that some people are looking for love before Christmas turns up, but they make it like they NEED someone, as in, they'll take anyone to give their heart to, just to save them from what happened last time... which is probably what happened the first time.. they went too quick into it and got hurt.

"I saw mommy kissing Santa Clause" or whatever that song is called because the singer's voice is super annoying. I also hate "Christmas Shoes," it always used to make me cry and its just really sad.

I absolutely HATE McCartney's "Wonderful Christmastime". The words are terrible, the melody is boringly repetitive (verging on torture), and the arrangement is cheesy to the extreme.

All recordings of it should be killed with fire.

Ugh. I totally agree with you on this song. Corniest song ever.
