Does anyone else like them enough to buy after seeing the movie? I've found a ton from different movies that I love like Pirates of the Caribbean and Lord of the Rings or the latest Star Wars movies and Meet Joe Black. They're also sooo cool and relaxing to play on the piano.

I prefer video game soundtracks myself, since I tend to get a stronger connection with them and I remember the songs more closely, but I bought the Kill Bill soundtracks not too long ago and I love 'em.

Tarantino movies always have good soundtracks. Garden State, Almost Famous, The Big Lebowski and Forrest Gump have great ones too.

As for like musical scores, I love the Dark Knight soundtrack, as well as Unbreakable, Lady in the Water (even though I hated the movie), 28 Days Later, and Transformers. John Williams' are always instantly classic (Star Wars, Harry Potter, Superman, ET, Jurassic Park, JAWS).

I don't have many actual soundtracks, I think it's just Kill Bill, Donnie Darko and Lost Highway (which is an excellent soundtrack)

But I do get a lot of the 'Classic FM at the Movies' soundtracks, and I have the 'FilmFour Essential Soundtracks' compilation CD which has lots of great songs.

Kill Bill has an AH-Mazing soundtrack.

But I have a few videogame and TV shows soundtracks as well. Plenty of South Park songs from the movie musical as well as LoZ: Twilight Princess and and Ocarina soundtracks.

EVERYONE should give the Meet Joe Black soundtrack a chance. There are some really sweet, beautiful songs on there.

    Here's Whisper of a Thrill:
the images make it look super sappy but the music is good

I learned to play the right hand of this myself. I'm really bummed I can't find the book for all the songs anywhere. I don't think it ever got made.

Yay! I'm not the only film geek!!

I think of film scores as "today's classical music". I have tons! John Williams is the best (original Star Wars scores, the first Superman movie), but I love John Barry (James Bond movies) and Alan Silvestri (Forrest Gump, Back to the Future). I also try to collect rare ones from movies I love.

Don't get me wrong, I love me my Madonna, Britney, Janet, etc..., but sometimes I just need to put in a movie score and be moved, ya know?

    * Also LOVE to hunt down full orchestra versions of game soundtracks. Final Fantasy VIII's is better than most actual movie scores, IMO.

Anything out of the Truman Show is brilliant. I also love anything written by John Williams, as well as everything that Angelo Badalamenti wrote for Twin Peaks

Tropic Thunder also has a great soundtrack.
