Or CD or download or all three or whatever.

Just wondering, because your first is such a big deal at the time, and you probably will neve forget what it was.

I just bought my first record, Led Zepplin one, and have nothing to play it on... And I can't actually remember what my first CD was for definate, but I think it was Gossamer by Passion Pit.

Well it was a cassette not a vinyl or cd, but it was Now 3. First "band/artist" would The Backstreet Boys.

    Rush, Moving Pictures, on vinyl.

First CD/ Hmmm...can't quite recall, but seems like it was Pink Floyd, Dark Side of The Moon, or The Wall.

Ah, based off the name I thought you meant like a certificate or an achievement.

My first CD I think was Now 78. Although if you want to be technical, the very first one I got was a "Relax kids" one because I was a bit of a manic child.

It's hard to recall to be honest, but the first CD I can remember would be an Evanescence one. Lithium? I would carry it around the back yard with me, in my CD player, trying not to bump it or the song would skip.

Mine was an ITunes download 2 or 3 years ago(?). American Idiot by Green Day. I thought I was some kind of cool nonconformist by listening to Green Day

I'd be a little concerned if that was what this thread was about.

My first vinyl record was II by Crystal Castles. Bought it in Barcelona about 5 years ago, when I didn't even have a record player yet. I just wanted it so badly.

You're right, the first record is one you won't forget when you're a music geek.

My first CD was the Steps 'Gold' album when I was 6.. the first one I bought myself was Lily Allen's 'It's not you, it's me' when I was 14.. she was my secret pleasure.

Haven't bought a single CD since.

It was either the Marshall Mathers LP or a random Akon CD. I was around 14 and just getting into music. Before that I just didn't listen to music at all.

The first CD-single I ever bought was 'Hands Clean' by Alanis Morisette.
I remember because my dad started telling me what his first was. Not that I remember what it was :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I don't really remember what the first album I downloaded was, because I used to just write a list for my stepdad and then he'd download the songs for me, but I remember I downloaded a "scrubs seasons 1-5 music" folder, found a song I liked there, and downloaded the artist's album.

It was "Maybe you've been brainwashed too" by New Radicals, and they were my favourites for many years.
I'm still pretty much a big fan of the front guy (or whatever it's called), Gregg Alexander.

It's amazing how one thing can lead to another :icon_bigg

I'd like to say Britney Spears or NSYNC or Backstreet Boys. But no. My first album was the Beach Boys.
